ExperioLingo teaches people how to acquire a language, not just how to study one. That one sentence is the whole company, so let's unpack it.

The position

Language is acquired through experience, not assembled through study. Everything we build follows from that. If it's true, then the job of a language educator isn't to explain a language more clearly. It's to build the conditions in which your brain's natural language-acquisition capability can do its work.

Those conditions are experiential, concrete, meaningful, repeatable, and calibrated to where each learner actually is. We call the framework behind them DELA, which we explain in the next post.

The umbrella and the programme

ExperioLingo is the umbrella: the approach, the framework and the network. Next Level German is our first programme, and Wiesbaden is our first city.

That order matters. The method is portable. German is simply the first language we've applied it to, and Wiesbaden is simply the first place we've built it.

The part nobody else has

Most language education lives in a classroom, an app, or a course on a server. We add something different: a network of real places in a real city.

Real bakeries, real pharmacies, real offices, real people. Local businesses who've agreed to be part of how our learners live their way into the language. The city is the classroom, and the people in it are the curriculum. We cover how that works in a later post.

What it isn't

• Not a language school. We don't teach a language; we teach how to acquire one.
• Not a grammar course or a certificate programme.
• Not an app with a streak counter.

Who it's for

People who want to take part in their lives in the language, not just collect proof that they studied it. Our first programme is for English-speaking adults building a life in Germany.
